The Rules

Essentially the backbone to any good site, the rules must be understood and obeyed by all members to ensure good gameplay.
The general rules on Ikeyn are as follows;

• Be considerate towards other members. Rudeness is absolutely not tolerated. Keep swearing to the absolute minimum.
  
  
• Posts containing any offensive or graphic materials are not allowed and will be taken down immediately. Such offenses include heavy swearing, content of a violent or overly sexual manner, racism, sexism and disrespect of other players' beliefs.
  
  
• Content must be kept at a PG-13 rating.
  
  
• Site advertisements must be placed in the appropriate area. Spamming is not appreciated.
  
  
• This roleplay is in the English language. While of course we don't mind players who speak other languages, we'd ask that you're confident and capable in reading and writing English.
  
  
• Theft will not be tolerated. If you come across anyone committing theft of any sort, please report it immediately and try to prevent flame-wars.
  

For minor offenses, Ikeyn operates on a 'third strike and you're out' basis, that is, after committing offenses on three separate times, the user will be banned from the site. The admin will log the player's IP address and any accounts created with that address will also be deleted immediately.

First offense: Locked out of the site for a week
Second offense: Locked out of the site for a month
Third offense: Banned forever; account deleted

For major offenses, you will be banned straight away.


Roleplay rules are as follows:

• While we encourage beginners to the site, it would be appreciated if players have some prior writing or roleplaying experience. Try and use appropriate grammar and spelling.
  
  
• Posting must be in third person, with a minimum post length of three sentences or 100 words.
  
  
• Chatspeak, god-modding and powerplaying are not allowed.
